On this blog I share my Turkish food recipes. My name is Hatice and I am from Istanbul, and my husband Dave and I live with our two daughters in a small town near Amsterdam. I also have a food blog where I share my recipes in Dutch at www.lekkerturkseten.nl.
It has always been my intention to share the richness of the Turkish cuisine with non-Turkish speakers. I have done this since 2006 on the Dutch food blog. And now almost 20 years later, I have started translating the recipes into English.
I hope the recipes inspire you and give you just as much joy as the recipes have brought me and my family.

I am a big fan of Turkish cuisine and especially of my wife Hatice’s recipes. Back in 2006, I believe, I encouraged Hatice to write down her recipes and post them on a website that I set up for her. This has grown into www.lekkerturkseten.nl. Hatice still posts recipes on the site. Now, we have set up this site, Delicious Turkish Food Recipes, to share her recipes in English.
I get to taste all the wonderful food Hatice makes for our family, and I also help her share this with you, the reader. I am the facilitator, the webmaster, the editor, and sometimes the photographer/videographer.
